Get your book
1. Read as much of it as your group decides to read
2. Nov 12 is a holiday, no class. However, check back here on the 12 or the 13th for homework for the week. I will also post information on the final project/paper online before that time.
3. NOTE: you can communicate with your book group right here. Just attach a comment to this week's blog with your book's name in the title and write your comment. Please check through the comments to see if anyone from your group is posting; do this regularly as it is more reliable than email and all group members (plus I) can see these messages.

for crime and punishment, is there a specific translation we are supposed to read?
We should agree on a translation. It's a pretty long book so we're gunna have a tough time with this one but I'm sure it will be worth it. Lets exchange emails and stuff.
my email is Lebeque@gmail.com
Hi Katrina C., Shirley C., Stefannie S.,
this is for the book Red Scarf Girl -- please e-mail me before the end of THIS WEEK so Friday -- so that we can agree on how much we should read and get done before the next class meeting and be prepared to go over who will be responsible for what in terms of doing the 2 pages of writing each so we can be sure it's cohesive and redraft individually if necessary before the class after next.
My e-mail is Jacquie23@gmail.com
Thanks!! :)

HiWai A, Ernest T,marygrace chan:

please email me and discuss what to do.
Hey Tanya,
Sorry, I just sent you an email to your yahoo account prior to me reading this. 75 pages a week is okay, however, who does what pages and so forth? I'm just trying not to duplicate any work.
Also, besides, the reading who will do the writing and so forth? You can communicate with me via Yahoo email, as I am consistently checking my account.
Thanks Tanya!
Irela
or you can always post a comment to this blog also :) whichever you choose is fine :)
I have already begun to read Chap.1
Hi Irela and Jorge, I thought we all needed to read the entire book in order to really do any of the writting assignments. If it is all right with you, maybe we could read this week and then get a better idea what part of the writting we'd each like to take on.
Hi Jorge and Irela,
I started reading and I'd really like to write about the author, #3 of part B. Let me know if that works out for you both.
my E-mail is tanyaeggers@yahoo, but I'd prefere to use the blog for communicating about general stuff, and use e-mail for sending each other drafts. Is that OK? Thanks, Tanya
Hi Tanya,
Hi Tanya and Jorge:
Actually from what I understand, we don't have to read the ENTIRE book, it's really up to us, I believe we're supposed to read as much as we can to be able to write/present a good presentation. Of course reading the whole book is a plus, but again, everyone's reads at different paces.
Tanya, I don't mind you doing #3.
Jorge how do you feel about this?
I would like to write about #1) on part B.
Miss H: What do you think?
I have finally gotten the book PLUM WINE. Oksana and Kelly how about we read 100 pages to start off. I was reading it after I got my mail and am on chapter 4 already. It is very good so far. I have always been interested in Japanese culture and this gives a new perspective to history as I know it.
I think I would like to work on section 3 of part B. Also how about meeting at the college on Monday to discuss the book and project. I have time set aside for class and there is none. Let me know ASAP.
Thanks
Tina
To Tina and Kelly
It is a good idea to read PLUM WINE quicklier.I hope to read 100 pages for the weekend; but,Tina, I am sorry I will not be able to come to the college on Monday for discussing the book.
my e-mail oksana1232@yahoo.com or this blog.
Tina,if you work on section 3 of part B, I can take the second question from part B(Why is this book a piece of resistance art?).
Thanks
Oksana Sema
you definitely need to read the whole book. The only part you divide is the writing and presenting
